Keyuri Parab (she/her) is a media professional and journalism graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. She loves all things media – PR, marketing, corporate communications. She is extremely passionate about telling stories that bring light to important world issues.
Originally from Mumbai, India, a city of about 18 million people, she is a ‘big-city-girl’ who moved to the Dallas area for college. Coming from an international background, Keyuri speaks four languages including English, Hindi, Marathi and some French. English being her first language, she loves all four. When she’s not chasing earned media and PR opportunities, she’s creating stuff in her kitchen.
Keyuri has written for Centerfield Media indulging in hot safety and security system reviews to historic data research for Inmyarea.com. She’s also written for the Greater Fayetteville Business Journal and managed their social media feed. Her role as the Editorial Assistant for Up&Coming Weekly News and Women’s View Magazine- both local media outlets helped shape her writing and build connections in North Carolina, her new home. In that role, she covered news, business, lifestyle and military stories in the Fayetteville area, and assisted with layout and social media.
As a journalist and media professional, Keyuri’s skills have been shaped by the wonderful opportunities from the past. Her ventures as PR associate for ARRAY Publishing & Marketing focused on building and managing client relationships and grow the audience for ARRAY’s monthly magazine with community outreach. She also helped with event-management for ARRAY of Events, a small branch of the main company.
Before that she interned with Superstition Community Food Bank in Apache Junction, AZ helping with social media and public relations related matters. The summer of 2019, she interned in Dallas at People Newspapers, a D Magazine affiliate. Currently in North Carolina, Keyuri plans to pursue her passion for social media management and public relations. She aspires to help people and change lives with her words and the stories she tells. Keyuri is a driven, adventurous, hard-working person who loves taking on new challenges that life throws at her. She’s passionate about helping others, and driving social change.
