How to : For your tuna, cut into chunks and marinade with teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, sesame seeds, sesame oil, ginger and rice vinegar. Leave it in the fridge for 3-4 hours.
In a large dish, add the cooked rice, add the pineapple, onions, lettuce, tuna and avocado on top. Add the scallions, and sesame seed and squeeze the spicy mayo on top. Refer to my picture below for the plating!
Itβs quarantine and it was rainy and all I wanted was a hot bowl of yummy soup with Asian flavours (always). So I decided to play around with what I had in the kitchen.Β
What you will need πΏπ : Makes 5 ServingsΒ
– 4 cups chicken or vegetable brothΒ
–1 package Rice noodles (8 ounce)
– 2 tablespoons olive oilΒ
– 1 teaspoons salt
– 2 tablespoons grater gingerΒ
– 2 cloves garlic mincedΒ
– 1/2 cup soy sauceΒ
– 2 tablespoons chilli garlic paste
– 1/2 sliced white onionΒ
– 1 carrot sliced
– 1 steam of bok choyΒ
– 1 cup of sliced green onions/scallionsΒ
– 3 teaspoons sesame seedsΒ
– 1 table spoon sesame oilΒ
– 1 teaspoon black pepperΒ
–Β 1 limeβs juiceΒ
– Finely chopped cilantroΒ
How to : In a big pot bring 5 cups of water to boil, and add the rice noodles. Cook for 4-5 minute. Make sure to salt the water. Drain the water and set the noodles aside.Β
I know I usually post things mostly made from scratch, so this post maybe a little less like my usual ones. But here’s my ‘I am too tired to make a whole meal but don’t want to spend the $$ on pizza delivery’ night meal!
If you feel this struggle, here’s my easy tips to make a pizza real quick. (I do have a dough recipe that I every so often but this is specifically for those lazy nights, pls don’t judge me)
What you will need (per serving one pizza) : Ready-to-eat Naan (you can find this at most stores, its just an Indian flatbread that’s SO DELISH) Olive oil Ground black pepper Salt 3 tbs marinara sauce 3-4 tbs ranch dressing (hidden valley or one you prefer) 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese A handful of shredded cheddar, parmesan or even ricotta cheese 1/4 cup chopped white onion Some bacon bits Parlsey to sprinkle on top
How to : Cover your naan with some olive oil evenly, and sprinkle a bit of salt and some pepper on it. Spread your marinara sauce and ranch on top. Throw on your cheese, onion and bacon bits. Sprinkle on the garlic.
